Microsoft Word Outline View

Some time ago I learnt using 'Outline View' in Microsoft Word (via the menu-items: View - Outline).

I find it useful on occasions to organize my thoughts when I'm analyzing business processes. This view in Word makes it easy to arrange text, make some text more important and other text less important. Also it enables me to organize my writings in hierarchies.

I was wondering whenever I print a document which is made in outline view whether the hierarchy was maintained on paper. This is indeed the case, however you have to print your document in the outline view, because when you switch the view back to normal, I remembered that the outline view hierarchy is lost.

Today I printed an outline view document while being in Word's outline view and the document was exactly on paper like it is on screen. Before I thought it was not possible to do this, but I'm happy to know this is not the case. Because of that I will make even more use of this very useful way of processing a document.
